Hello to all the staff and pupils of Gaelscoil! Just a quick hello to you all from the land 'down under'. I presume that you are all working hard at this time. But don't panic; as a friend of mine (Mike Downey) always says "Zero panic y'all'! Exams are crucial for your success in the future. I realised this in my school days and am quite pleased to let you all know that I did a good leaving cert and passed all my college exams. So now I am living it up in Sydney, Austrailia with all my friends: Mike Downey, Brian Ambrose, Darragh Crowley, Keith Brouder, DJ Smiley (not sure of his real name) and John Carroll.
I suppose that I am writing to you all just to let you know that it really is worth all the study towards those all important exams. So get those heads down, think positive and avoid Coolios for the next few months. That is how I got to where I am today.
If and when I come home in the next 6 to 12 months I would be delighted to coach the Gaelscoil gaelic football team. I can see a county championship in the school and I would advise all the football players to start thinking positively not only about their school work but also their football. "Maistir, it could be the start of a delightful partnership, you with the school work and me with the football team!"
Anyway, I would like to wish you all the very best in the future and hope to see you all in 2002.
