Martians and Road Rules

Hey! Martians out there listen,
Our road rules are not the same,
Our roads are very dangerous
They're not for playing games.

If Martians came to visit
Could they tell their left from right?
Would they know what yellow,
Red and green mean?
They possibly just might!

I'd take them to a safe place,
A pedestrian crossing would do.
I'd teach them to look up and down
And should the 'red man' flash
DON'T MOVE

I'd tell them:

"Never cross at a corner
Or walk between two cars.
As well as look and listen",
But do they have ears on Mars?

And when our lesson's over
I'd put them to the test.
Then the graduates of road safety
Would fly home and teach the rest.

Road Safety

Are you an alien?
I am, are you?
Do you know road safety?
I haven't a clue!
Do you want me to tell you?
Yes, I do!

You always look right and left
To see a car already left
The best thing is to have a friend
To keep a hold of your hand
If it's dark bring a light
And make sure that you walk inside

Or otherwise get a car and
Be like the one's that care
That's Road Safety!

Martians the Safe Cross Code

Martians from Mars sit in their cars
Waiting for people to pass.
Martians from Mars watch the cars
Flowing around in the air.
A Martian in Space
Said, "look at my face
'cos it's not in the right place".
And oh! please look left and right
At the green light,
But when it shows red
Just stay in bed.
And don't eat jelly
'Cos you will get a pain in your belly,
Because you will be very bold
And won't cross the road
'Cos you'll have a pain in your belly
From eating too much jelly.
And look left and right and listen
But if you hear a whistle - stop.
Oh it's only the lolly-pop man
he's in his van
but wait 'til he's got a plate in his hand
and there's a band on the road near the traffic lights
Oh there's a fight near the lights
but the Martians have to go back to Mars
Before they're behind bars in Mars

Road Safety

If you want to cross the road
You'll have to take great care
If there is a zebra crossing
Make sure that you cross there

Look left and right and left again
Let all the traffic go past
Then when you're sure it's safe to go
You walk across quite fast

Always be looking, always be listening
When you're anywhere near the road
The road can be a safer place if you follow
The safe Cross Code!!

Road Safety

When I want to cross the road
I don't like to be squashed like a toad
I need to be safe
And not end up in my grave
So I use the safe cross code!

Road Safety

Teaching Lucas the alien the road safety code
"Listen up Lucas you're from Mars
And we are from Earth.
If you want to survive on Earth then listen up
It's safe to cross the road when it's green
But when it's red never cross the road
But if there are no traffic lights
Look both ways and listen carefully for traffic
So Lucas now you know the road safety code
Now you will survive on Earth"

Safe Cross Code

Cars on Mars are cruel
But cars down here are cool
Drive on the left side and always obey the rules

Red light means stop
Green light means go
Always be careful
As you well know

When Cycling your bike
In the summer sun
Always be careful when having fun
At night with your light in full beam
Remember the rule 'Be Safe Be Seen'

Teaching the Safe Cross Code

Men from Mars these are cars
You come in a spaceship not too often
Follow the rules or you'll go home in a coffin
When the arrow is green it's safe to cross
And remember I'm the boss

If you cross the road when the arrow is red
Believe me alien you'll be dead
Follow my rules and you will see
How to cross the road safely like me

Look left and right and left again
And then you can cross over
But if you don't look left and right
You're life will soon be over

Road Safety

You need to cross the road
Then know the safe cross code
Make sure it's some where you can see
Stop look and listen carefully
If it's clear, walk don't run
Because broken bones aren't much fun!

Traffic and Children

Traffic is fast and children are slow
So children be careful whenever you go
Especially when you're on a busy road
It's then you will think of the safe cross code

Be safe be seen in a dark winter's night
Or else you will give the driver a fright
They won't see you until the last minute
If you want trouble, it's then you are in it

Some crazy children play games on the street
Playgrounds and fields are the places to meet
Traffic is fast and children are slow
Now kids obey the Safe Cross Code

Rules of the Road

Martains travel in spaceships
Humans travel in cars
They're not so very different
Though I've never been in Mars

I think they'd like to feel safe
When using human roads
They'd have to know left from right
And know the safe cross code

When looking for a place to cross
I'd show them traffic lights
And how the red man says 'don't move'
And the green man says 'alright'

They must never rush or hurry
Just walk and take their time
If they do not cross at corners
But look and listen they'll be fine

Alien

Hey you alien this is a car
Stay out of my way
Or you will be stuck in the tar!
Hey you alien the light is red
Get in my way and you'll be dead!

No, you alien don't cross the road
Or else you'll be squashed like a toad!
How do you travel on the road
Without getting your guts splattered on the road?
You travel in a car
So you won't get stuck in the tar
You travel on a bike with your helmet and lights

The cross Code Alien

An alien being named Baod landed on an Irish road
"Deep peep twiddly reep I can't cross this street, I think it's time I flew home"

Just then from behind a log appeared a talking dog
"Stop, said judge you'll be flattened like fudge
Learn your code before you cross that road"

Nafe pafe look for that safe place
Never hurry always wait
Looking listening all around my feet firmly on the ground

All the traffic passes by soon my time will come to fly
Straight across the road I go, talking dogs? No! No! No!
Pross tross loss loss without that code I would never cross
