KNex 08 Project

This year’s theme is Celebrating the Past, Creating the future. A guitar is a very old instrument. It dates back to 3000 BC approx. There are stories of guitars in Greek Mythology, Ancient Egypt and in the Old Testament.
Over the years, the guitar has always been a very important instrument in our world, played far and wide by all peoples of all nations, in one form or another. It was part of the social revolution in the 1960s when our parents and grandparent danced to rock and roll, and ‘flower power’. Today it is still the preferred instrument of major bands performing all over the world to audiences of millions of people.

The electric guitars of the 1970s made the world sit up and listen to their noisy and loud music. It is a part of the fabric of society.

Our engineered, green KNEX guitar can be a vital and integral part of the future, a future for all people, just like the bio fuel, dual-engine cars, a greener, cleaner future. Virtually everyone can use this guitar. It does not matter if you find it difficult to see, hear or speak, our guitar will perform. Our guitar will be suitable for children and people of all abilities, and all Nations. It will benefit the world too as it is environmentally friendly. All it needs is sunshine and the strumming, wave-effect of the strings to power the internal battery and speakers.

Our guitar celebrates the musical past of all nations on Earth, and it is part of the creation of the greener, cleaner musical future of all nations irrespective of their status as sun and wave-power are universal.

Many people are speaking about saving the planet and conserving energy towards a better, safer, and greener world. Climate change is a big issue today, and World leaders have recently agreed upon a new set of guidelines to slow down the Greenhouse effect and Global warming. Our KNEX, engineering project is a very effective way to tackle this problem at a basic level because over 100 million electric guitars are sold all over the world, each one using electricity and adding to the Global Warming phenomenon. By effecting a change in the way we play our guitars, using solar and wave-power guitars, we will make a huge difference in every country worldwide and not just in ‘First-World’ countries. The simplest instrument to play is the guitar so let it be the first musical instrument which celebrates the past and creates a brighter, cleaner, greener future.

Its batteries will last for years and years, as long as the sun keeps shining and the waves/strings keep strumming, and music is loved and played.
