We wish to
extend a 'Céad Míle Fáilte' to you and hope you
enjoy our work in Gaelscoil Ó Doghair, the All-Irish Primary
School, Newcastle West, Contae Luimnigh, Éire.
As a Gaelscoil,
an All-Gaelic Primary school, we believe that we have a lot to offer now
and in the future. Many of our dreams have already been realised in Gaelscoil,
and the following pages will hopefully give you a glimpse of life at school
with us and the dreams we have yet to uncover.
All-Irish
Education, and in particular Gaelscoileanna are proving to be extremely
popular and successful all over Ireland and parents, Irish,European and
from all over the World, are recognising their intrinsic value in an ever
demanding and changing World. In 2000 indeed, there were in excess of
35,000 children receiving their full time education in scoileanna
lán-Ghaeilge, all-Irish schools, throughout Ireland.

We in Caisleán
Nua, Newcastle West, are very proud to be a part of this phenomenal growth
in all-Irish education. Indeed our focus on the Irish Language has provided
us with a wonderful opportunity to expose our students to French and German
at an early age, and this, along with a comprehensive programme in all
the traditional subjects as well as science, technology, sports and the
Visual Arts, has given new and real meaning to Gaelscoil's Philosophy
of 'All-Irish Education For A Brighter Future'.

The
future is bright for Gaelscoileanna and this iswhy we invite you to share
the journey into the future with us. Let us together face the challenge
of preparing our children for the 'world which does not yet exist', and
we will succeed. Ar aghaidh linn lechéile mar aon fhoireannamháin.
Ní neart go cur le chéile!
